My First World Problems

Everyone complains about their "problems." I like to preface my complains with "My first world problems."

I was voting for The People's Choice Awards online. Usually, I hardly know any of the nominees so I just vote for the one I am actually familiar with.
But I ran into a problem when FAVORITE TV CRIME DRAMA came up (in all caps because that is how it displays online)

The nominees were: Bones, Castle, Criminal Minds, CSI, and NCIS. Understand that Bones, Criminal Minds, and NCIS (along with Psych) are my favorite shows and the ONLY shows I watch (I like other shows too, but I'm just naming the Crime Dramas). When I saw that, I froze, audibly said, "ehhwaaaahhhggaaa?????" and then stared at it feeling torn.

It was terrible. I wanted to support my favorite shows, but i couldn't vote for all three. I ended up skipping that category.

Another first world problem: I can't seem to get 100% on any of my math tests. Math is my best subject in school, but for all the test this year I have missed half a point on each one. I am cursed with the NEVER 100% FOR YOU curse... :(

The Way To My Heart

Not really. In a more subtle way. Not like I'll love you forever, but it is certainly an amazing first impression.

WHEN PEOPLE HOLD THE DOOR FOR ME. Whenever someone holds the door for me or lets me go first, I cannot help but think "WOW. This person ACTUALLY has manners. Impressive." and I automatically think higher of that person even if I don't know who it is. Just to let people know, I hold the door for people also, not a hypocrite in that way. Anyway, I cannot explain it, but it makes a HUGE positive first impression on me whenever someone holds the door for me. It tells me that they have manners, that they are nice, and that they are respectful.

So everyone should hold the door for people!

(Unless they are one of those super [blanking on word.. person that is for equality for women] and thinks it's sexist to hold the door for women, like "HEY I CAN GET THE DOOR MYSELF!!!")

So about that...

So about that answering question once a day. Yeah... didn't happen... So I'll do it all in one to get it over with.

That has not happened yet. thekingfofdefford had his first kiss when he was 21, so that makes me feel better

2) What is the most expensive casual item of clothing you've ever bought?

Personally, probably sweater for $20. I know, lifes savings right there. I don't don't buy expensive stuff seeing as how I don't have a job because I'm in high school. My mom buys the most expensive stuff (Shoes for $35)

3) What was the first job you ever wanted as a kid?

I probably wanted to be a painter, like Picasso. Or a taste tester person, like a wine connoisseur but for different food.

4) Tell us about your group of school friends

I currently have 3 different groups of friends. There's my primary school friends (which is just 2 people. Mini Asian group) and then I have my lunch group which consists of about 6 guys and 5 girls. I always find that the people you eat lunch with are your true friends. That is the only free time during the day, you want to spend that time with people you enjoy. Then there's the Band Kids. Oh, the band kids. What to say, what to say. They are the craziest bunch. Probably the most humorous, and are mostly guys (2 girls!) I love 'em so much. Having them in my life makes everything more.... FUNNY. Sorry that was so long! I cannot choose between the groups! Also, there are more friends that don't fit into any other those groups. So. To boil it down to two groups: Boys and Girls. I mostly hang out with boys/enjoy their company more (odd child.)

5) What would you name your kids?

I have actually thought about this and I made a list and everything!

Guys: Declan, Sebastian, Nicholas, Derek, Thomas, Shawn, Seth, Daelin (one of my friends is named that and I think it's so unique and cool!), August

Girls: Hazel, Maria, Samantha, Sadie, Scarlett, Kira, Torri, Ariadne, Thalia, Laura/Lauren

Uh. Hello. Well... I have gone back to school! (obviously... it's already October...)

Want to know about my teachers?

What? You don't? Too bad!

I like my Spanish teacher alot. She is different then my other Spanish teacher I had in Middle School. I had the same teacher for Spanish one and two when I was in middle school so I'm still not quite used to my current teacher, but I like her so far.

Geometry is quite boring, not because math is boring, but because the class is boring... and the teacher. She is very nice and I like her a lot, but she is, i don't know, something about her doesn't quite click with me.

AHH~! My science teacher is the beeessst! She is so energetic and enthusiastic about science!!! I LOVE HER SO MUCH

Band is pretty good as usual. Hate marching band, but love it at the same time. Oh what to do.

As time passes, Ms. English teacher gets more strict. Enough said.

An Intro to Doctor Who

For anyone that hasn't seen Doctor Who....why? Doctor Who is an amazing British TV series that has aired for 47 years!
Don't know anything about it? Not to fear, I know a great video that can catch you up a bit. Go watch it, then come back. THE VIDEO

Personally, I have not seen all the episodes of Doctor Who. The best place to start is at the 9th doctor (the current remakes).

If you're not sure about watching this magnificent TV show then I would like to recommend my top 3 favorite episodes (all of them being from the 10th doctor who is my favorite doctor)

1. Blink - this one doesn't have much of The Doctor in it, but it is excellent none the less. It's a great episode to get you into the series.

2. Midnight - This one too lacks some of an important character, but not The Doctor. The Doctor's companion, Donna Nobel, is not in this episode every much. Despite that, the episode is very well written and very creepy

3. Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead (a two parter!) - Doctor Who has many 2 parters, this one being by far the best (though it was really hard to pick! Many of the other good two parters are season finales. Don't want you staring off there!)

Summer and Classes

Summer has been sort of fun. Hung out with my friends yesterday and will be hanging out on Wednesday.

Aren't I such a nerd? It's been summer for just a couple of days and I'm already talking about school and classes

I'll be taking 6 classes next year. No zero period required for those who are taking 2 year-long electives

Honors English
Honors Science
Social Studies
Geometry (skipped one year in math)
Spanish 3

Cant wait for band. It's has always been one of my favorite classes along with English. There will be so many friends and cool people in Band next year!
English, I'm not sure why I've liked it so much. I think it's because of the teachers. I have had really great English teachers so far. They are great at engaging me and mixing things up. I love their teaching styles.
-.- i have summer homework for each Honors Class I am taking.
English: Read Animal Farm by George Orwell and answer stuff. In addition, read 1000 pages.
Science: Read a thingy and answer questions. Also, memorize measurements and do some math thingy.

It'll be FUN

School is OUT

School is officially out! We wont be back for another 100 days or so! I will miss my friends so much, especially the ones that I'm not super close with. Is that weird?
I mean, there are your
1- friends you hang out with ALL the time in school and outside of school
2- the friends you hang out with only in school, but you talk to them outside of the classes you have with them
3- then there are the ones you only talk to when your in the same class. Never out in the halls or anything

I'M GOING TO MISS 2 and 3 SOOO MUCH. I have already planned tons of days to hang out with friend group 1, but group 2 and 3, not so much. Partly because they're mostly guys.... but also because i don't know them as well. It would be weird if i randomly called them as said "HEY LETS CHILL OUT! PLAY SOME CARDS!" (and i do have their home # because of the school directory). Anyway, it would be weird.

The thing about cards is true. My friends that fall under #2 are these cool dudes that i play cards with. I just recently started to do that about 2 months ago. We were in our pride class (it's a half hour of reading/study hall time before lunch) and i got bored. They (being 2 people) were playing cards and my friend and I decided to join them. It was really fun!

The last full day of school we had campus day. We went to all of our classes, each period being about 20-30 minutes long, then we ate lunch and after that we had the whole day to hang out on campus and play games. With all 700 or us running around, i ended up losing my friends (they went into the gym to play basketball... those meanies.. .they didn't come looking for me). I was out on the field looking for them when one of the dudes i play cards with asked if i wanted to play. SO I DID BECAUSE MY OTHER FRIENDS DITCHED ME. But it was REAAALLLY fun! we had more people then the ones in just our pride class. I think we had 7 people playing cards. After we finished playing we got bored and joined the soccer kids. We didn't really play. We just stood around and kicked the ball when it came to us. WooooOOoOoOOOoOoo!

^ wish i could become closer friends with those 5 (it was 7 including my friend and I... So minus 2 would be 5 c: )

I'll. Miss. Them. The. Most! Not matter how creepy that is! ..... is that creepy? Missing the ones you don't know as well? Oh well! I DON'T CARE!

It's a really weird feeling, getting your science final completed 5 days before it is due instead of waiting until the last minute like usual. Wow, I really don't know what to say.

School is almost over

Best Week Ever

Last week, the week of March 20th to March 26th, was the best week ever. The weekends were normal, but oh my gosh, the school week was amazing! Monday- Nothing BAD happened (yay!) Pretty neutral day Tuesday- We had a party in band. People brought in chip, doughnuts, and anything unhealthy to eat for breakfast. I myself had half a jelly doughnut, chips, 5 red vines and apple juice (and some peas...nom) for breakfast. I felt so sick for the rest of the day (I usually NEVER eat sweet things...). The reason for the band party was because we played alot of concerts since the beginning of 2011 (probably about 5-6?) So we got a break. Wednesday- We got an awesome substitute in band. He looked like Shaggy from Scooby Doo except with black hair. Sam loved him so much that he drew a line on his forehead and said "Dude, from what I've heard about you so far, you are like my 2nd favorite person in the world! YOU GOT TO SIGN MY FOREHEAD! Hey, don't let me look like some weirdo with a random line on his head for the rest of the day! Sign it!" At the end of class he signed it with a smiley face and 'mr.smiles'. Also, we got new music to sigh read and it was super epic. The Sub made Josh go up to the front and act out the song while we were playing. I couldn't play because i was laughing too hard! Thursday- At math club (yeah, i got there...) lets just say you wouldn't know it was math club that day haha Friday- All the 8th graders at my school went on a field trip to the nearby university. It was reeeaaallly FUN!!! We walked around in groups with our homeroom taking tons of photos. You had to be there to feel the funess :D

In Addition...!!!

1) Referring back to my post on January 6th, I found out this week that next week we will be seated (in science) with our group project members!!! That means i'll be with cindy again -yay- and Josh -yay again!!

2) -in band,packing up-

Josh: *Picks up a stand* I bet you $100 I could throw this music stand, like a spear, right through Gayle's (my) head.

Me: :O

(back round first: Josh is a super procrastinator and always does his hw last minute. It's a miracle his grades are above a 3.5 GPA with work habits like that, plus he takes all honors classes...)

Me: Josh, you better get all your research done over the weekend or i'll be the one throwing the music stand through your head

Me: Yeah that's right, but you multiplied by the wrong number. The opposite recipracol of nevative eight is POSITIVE one-eighth. That multiplied by negative eight is negative one.

Peter:..... OOOOHH YEEEAAAHHH!!! I love you!!! ..... No homo* :D

Me: WHAT?!?! Im a girl, not a guy!!!!! >:O

*No homo can be used when you tell someone of the same gender as you that you love them. When you add "no homo" its like telling them you love them in the friend way not the love-love way.

Some updates

1) I have too many project going on right now....
a) I have a trimester Health project
b) I have a mini project for science that is just a short 1-2 page research essay
c) I have a month long group project in scinece (Yeha, 2 projects in science... thats what I get for being in Honors Science -like an AP class)
d) This relates to c. My group is Cindy and Karina, two of my friends, and then we randomly have Josh in our group because he was sick today and wasn't there to choose who he wanted to be with so Ms.G threw him in our group. Now, there's nothing wrong with him, he's actually pretty cool, but it's weird having him as the only boy. I kind of feel bad for him because I was so sure he would be in a group with his best friends Teddy, Owen, and Dylan. But I guess they relpaced him with Johnathan.

Now I'm just kind of rambling....
